You know, the "t" in "often" is silent, so technically, "coften" is pronounced like "coffin". :lol:

Yeah, english is one of the weirdest languages to ever exist. Here is one of the more famous examples:

Fish = Ghoti. :shock:

Why? Because the "gh" in "enough" makes the F sound, The "o" in "women" makes the I sound, and the "ti" from any word ending with "tion" (like nation) makes the SH sound. :lol:

lol Ghoti, if pronounced directly, sounds like "Goatee" :ugeek: lol. :lol: :lol: :lol:
