The Parfallamene Solar System

Post by Sumde »

Hi everyone! I've recently gotten invested into space exploration, on which I found a really cool game called SpaceEngine. The premise is, SpaceEngine is an interactive 3D planetarium and astronomy software. SpaceEngine even has the complete explorable universe! Of course, SpaceEngine doesn't have EVERY single real celestial body as most of the universe is unknown. In real life, the andromeda galaxy has millions (probably billions) of stars and solar systems, however since it's so far away from us we haven't been able to detect or find any of them. SpaceEngine therefore uses procedural generation to create these, and to fill in the void of the universe. In the game, I went to the andromeda galaxy and selected a solar system at random. I found a binary star system, with lots of planets so I chose it and called it the "Parfallamene barycenter." I will update as I "discover" more planets, and name every celestial body I find in this solar system.

Ascii Diagram (top-down = left-right):
-----------------------------------------------------------
-->Parfallamene Barycenter (binary star system)
----> Parfal (star)
--------> Sornan (planet)
----> Lamene (star)
--------> Pylithnoral (planet)
--------> Istolar (planet)
--------> Instlar (planet)
----> Sidene (planet)
--------> Lepor (moon)
--------> Lepea (moon)

Parfal
Parfal (also referred to as Parfallamene A) is the first star of the Parfallamene barycenter, and it is an orange dwarf with a diameter around 0.70x the sun. It has 1 known planet in it's orbit (Sornan). Discovery date: 2026.02.06 - 20h 47m 30.51s

Lamene
Lamene (also referred to as Parfallamene B) is the second star of the Parfallamene barycenter, and it is an orange dwarf that hosts 3 known planets (Pylithnoral, Istolar, and Instlar), with a diameter 0.63x the sun. Discovery date: 2026.02.06 - 20h 47m 46.71s

Parfal Planets
Sornan (also referred to as Parfallamene A4) is a temperate ice supergiant, and the first planet discovered that orbits Parfal. It's diameter is 4.3x the earth's diameter. Discovery date: 2026.02.07 - 17h 53m 49.14s

Lamene Planets
Pylithnoral (also referred to as Parfallamene B2) is a warm ice giant and is the second planet in the Lamene system, it's diameter is 3.54x what earth's diameter is.. Discovery date: 2026.02.07 - 00h 32m 08.59s
Image

Istolar (also referred to as Parfallamene B4) is a cool ice subgiant in the orbit of Lamene with a diameter 2 times of earth's. Istolar formed around 12 billion years ago. Discovery date: 2026.02.06 - 21h 02m 57.77s
Image

Instlar (also referred to as Parfallamene B5) is a cool ice giant and the 3rd planet of the Lamene solar system, with a diameter around 3.5x earth's. Instlar formed around 12 billion years ago. Discovery date: 2026.02.07 - 11h 53m 05.150s

Other Planets
These are planets outside of the 2 mains stars, but rather orbit around the barycenter.

Sidene (also referred to as Parfallamene 1) is a frigid gas minigiant, with a diameter around 4.5 times the earth. The planet has 2 known moons. Discovery date: 2026.02.06 - 21h 48m 16.26s

Moons
Due to the fact that there's too many moons, I will not present images.

Moons of Sidene
- Lepor (also referred to as Parfallamene 1.2) is a frigid arid subaquaria with visible rings, it is the first moon of Sidene. It's diameter is around 0.72x the earth's diameter.
- Lepea (also referred to as Parfallamene 1.4) is the second known moon of Sidene, it is a frigid airless subaquaria. It has a diameter of around 0.72x the earth's diameter.
Moons of Instlar
- Arnoble (also referred to as Parfallamene B5.1) is a cool airless microcarbonia, and a moon of Instlar. It has a diameter of around 0.1x earth's.
